A new name in Australian wine in keeping with traditional style.
Pinot Gris 89%
Chardonnay 11%
Telegherry Estate Vineyards has just received its first vintage of 2007 from the Winemaker Michael McManus.
Known as 'Woolshed' its appearance is pale golden straw with a tinge of copper.
The lifted nose has perfumed pear drops, melons, limes and jasmine.
A perfect match to any food type, especially Asian foods.
Beautifully balanced with excellent flavour.
Upon liaison with numerous professionals in the wine industry, the decision was made to produce a boutique wine that was readily marketable.
Pinot Gris and Viognier are relative new varieties of grapes growing in Australia.
Although not new strains, as Viognier is believed to be a variety well used during Ancient roman times as a drink of preference. Pinot Gris belongs to the Pinot family of grapes and like the other members of the family (Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier) can be used in the production of Sparkling wine. Viognier is fast becoming a wine preferred in blending with Shiraz.
As owner of the vineyard it is intended to produce high quality grapes & use organic principles as best as possible.
